  • Leadership and delivery of client engagements, from proposal to project completion:
    • Significant client interaction to support the development of appropriate analyses and strategic insights
    • Leverage experience and business acumen to help define project approach and methodology to best address client requirements, including understanding and utilizing secondary data sources efficiently, identifying and analyzing new data sources, and overseeing primary market research, including development of concise, well-structured discussion guides and conducting interviews with KOLs or other stakeholders
  • Synthesize insights and recommendations to ensure client ready deliverables and lead the team in delivering concise and strategic recommendations to our clients
    • Provide overall strategic guidance, contribute own content knowledge, and oversee input from analysts/project teams for multiple consulting projects and ensure on-time and on-budget delivery for client deliverables
    • Proactively communicate with colleagues at all levels to ensure mutual exchange of information
    • Provide constructive feedback to colleagues on each project, identifying potential challenges and developing solutions
  • Business development and maintaining and strengthening client relationships
    • Identify, scope and propose opportunities for new and follow-on business with clients
    • Maintain and grow an active network and nurture a pipeline of client relationships
    • Contribute to proposal development and participate in client pitches
  • Identify, develop, and implement methodologies to improve client and team engagement, productivity, efficiencies, effectiveness, and contribute to overall company profitability
  • Active participation in thought leadership and capabilities for the organization 

Desired skills, experience and qualifications:

  • BS in a scientific/technical discipline (PhD or MBA desirable)
  • Seasoned consultant with significant client facing experience and a minimum of 5 years of direct experience in life sciences strategic consulting
  • Subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas:
    • Commercial Strategy, New Product Planning, Portfolio Strategy, Market Access
  • Experience in Immunology or Rare Diseases desirable
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, including the desire to take ambiguous problems and deliver creative and well-structured solutions
  • Excellent project management, verbal and written communication skills; planning skills, presentation skills and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Demonstrated success in a collaborative, team environment; ability to build direct working relationships across all levels internally and externally
