New York-Based firm Appoints Director of Business Development for Life Sciences sector
NEW YORK , March 13, 2008 ,SMARTANALYST, Inc., a pioneer in providing outsourced strategic research and analytics solutions, announced today the recent appointment of Dr. Morris Paterson as its Director of Business Development for the Life Sciences sector.
Paterson will be responsible for driving Life Sciences sales and business development efforts in the UK as well as in European Markets.

Paterson joins SMARTANALYST from Wood Mackenzie, where he worked within a team of consultants to develop and deliver highly-regarded, independent, in-depth, content-based strategy consulting to a global healthcare client base. His previous experience includes medical research at St Mary’s Hospital (London, UK), scientific research and collaboration management at Roche Pharmaceuticals and product development, general management and business development in a VC-funded UK biotech.
He holds a PhD in Clinical Molecular Biology (Imperial College) and an
MBA in consulting, strategy and finance (Cass Business School).
